DescriptionPedaling for the peak with Outdoor Recreation 150624-F-WT808-017.jpg |
English: The Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Outdoor Recreation Center offers various outdoor adventure programs, to include mountain biking to a 1,500 acre wooded park with more than 30 miles of rolling trails. The mountain biking trips are also part of the RecOn and Single Airman programs. The RecOn program is designed to address the challenges faced by deploying service members and their families by providing “high adrenaline” supervised outdoor recreation programs. This program provides opportunities to service members to reintegrate into regular social networks, family life, and local communities. The Single Airman Program is designed to provide 673rd Force Support Squadron resources that foster a strong culture, mission, and sense of community for single service members. Single service members are also entitled to discounted rates on some activities offered at the ODRC. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman Christopher Morales)
