English: Pedestrian crossing at Caldewgate. On the left is the Globe Inn, on the right the Carlisle Old Brewery. There had been a brewery on this site for about 200 years, until production ceased in 1987 with the closure of 707574 . The buildings have been converted to student halls of residence, which also serve as a youth hostel during the summer. |
