English: Pedestrian warning on the A449 The road is built into the steep hillside of Herefordshire Beacon. No doubt widened over the years since the 18th century turnpike trusts. This road took on trunk status for several decades of the 20th century and, before the building of the M50 motorway, must have been very busy. No room for a pavement. |
