Kekayaan laut Indonesia tidak diragukan lagi, Negara maritim, dengan laut tropis yang dihuni biota lautan tropis yang memukau, menjadi daya tarik tersendiri, dilewati jalur katulistiwa air laut yang hangat sehangat keramahan Indonesia, Tolitoli adalah salah satu kabupaten di provinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Ibu kota kabupaten ini terletak di kota Tolitoli . daerah ini dimekarkan menjadi dua kabupaten, yaitu kabupaten Tolitoli sebagai kabupaten induk dan kabupaten Buol sebagai kabupaten hasil pemekaran."
