Title
pendant
Description
English: Gold pendant, circular with two suspension loops at top. On the front, a central pale blue stone within a border keyed for enamel, most of the enamel now missing and the design consequently indistinct. Traces of white and red enamel remain. The edges similarly keyed for enamel with scrolling foliage. The back is decorated with enamel white, green, black and red with a design of a bird in foliage.

This pendant has been reassigned to me by the medieval and the modern curators in this Department. I cannot place it in my curatorial area and would suggest that it is either oriental or near Eastern, or that it may be more modern. I would suggest that it does not come within the scope of the Treasure Act.
