Summary edit

Description
English: The Penny Black Stamp was one of the world's first adhesive postage stamp used by the postal service. It was first issued in the United Kingdom or Great Britain (GB) in May 6, 1840. This Penny Stamp includes a unique mistake. The postmark behind the cover of the stamp is written "JA. 1 1840" (January 1, 1840), and stamped again with "Z 2 M JAN 1841" (January 2, 1841). The Penny Black was not issued until May 6, 1840, so the postmark stamp errors makes this stamp especially rare and unique, increasing its value and notoriety. The stamp also includes the original letter which has yellowed with time (look in backside cover). This stamp and letter will make a rich addition to any valuable stamp collection.
