Auszug aus dem Informationsblatt vor Ort: Der Fortschritt wird durch rauchende Fabrikschlote dokumentiert, deren Abgase die Umwelt verpesten und so zum Waldsterben führen sowie deren ungeklärte Abwässer und Gifte in den Flüssen Fischsterben verursachen (Hinweis auf Johannes Offenbarung 8, 7 und 16, 3-4). Der Kriegsinvalide und Kranke erinnert daran, dass die Krankheiten von einst (Cholera, Pocken, Aussatz, Pest) neuen Krankheiten wie Krebs und AIDS Platz gemacht haben. Das ins Leere starrende Mädchen deutet die Einsamkeit des Menschen an, der die Frage nach dem Sinn des Lebens stellt. |
