Конец XVII века Медь, эмаль. 5,5×4,7 (овал) На контрэмали подпись: J Barbette. 

         Данная эмаль является повторением живописного портрета, хранящегося в Версальском дворце и, по легенде, подаренного самим царем французскому королю Людовику XV. Отсутствие на портрете ордена Св. Андрея Первозванного позволяет датировать изображение временем не позднее 1703 года.
         Петр I Великий (1672–1725) – сын царя Алексея Михайловича. С 1682 – царь, в 1721 принял титул императора.
Происхождение: собрание Хиксона (Hickson); аукцион Sotheby’s, Лондон, 10 ноября 1969, лот № 91; собрание Галины Вишневской и Мстислава Ростроповича.
