English: Peterborough Station: southward from Crescent Bridge 1992. View southward from the Crescent Bridge with an ECML IC225 train receding towards London King's Cross. On the right are the lines to March and Ely (via the former Peterborough East station, closed 6/66), which after passing the Nene Carriage Sidings on their left here, curve round to the left under the ECML just this side of the River Nene. The layout is much simplified since the 1970s and electrification of the ECML reached here from Hitchin in 1987. |
