Summary

Description
English: The White Tank Mountains are in Maricopa County, Arizona, at the western end of Phoenix and the Valley of the Sun. Although rugged, with limited water resources in modern times, they were home to Hohokam settlements and agriculture until about 1100 CE. Petroglyphs in this area, as seen on this rock, surrounded by typical Sonoran Desert landscape and flora, are thus at least 900 years old, although some can be dated back much farther.
