Summary edit

Description Peugeot 203 in Utrecht
Date
Source Own work
Author Charles01
Information from Dutch tax office website:
The car was still on the national database in 2014 (25 years after I photographed it in an Utrecht street) so maybe still road legal
First registered June 1951
Engine 4 cylinders

I took this picture myself in Utrecht and hereby release it to the public domain to the full extent possible in relevant jurisdictions.

The absence of front "quarter-lights" (separate small triangular windows ahead of the main window on each of the front doors) that open on a vertical hinge mounted approx a third of the way from the front of the little window (giving rise to the French description of them as déflecteurs aux vitres avant) marks this out as a pre 1953 car. It was at the Paris Motor Show in October 1952 that the introduction, for the "1953 model year" of "déflecteurs aux vitres avant" and a noticably larger (sensiblement agrandie) rear window were the big news from the Peugeot 203. SO this picture is of a car dating from somewhere between 1948 and 1952.
