Description

Pharrell: “They call it the ‘hood, but we don’t treat people like neighbors.”

“The system, not the people, is broken. Government aid is a trap. If your kids listen to trap music, that’s where the word comes from. I made it out. I slipped through the cracks. There are so many Pharrell’s and Missy Elliot’s out there. They call it ‘Affordable Housing’, but it is not affordable. When the government has to subsidize housing, the world is going to a crazy place. Charter schools work in poor neighborhoods. We need charter communities.”
