Description The Girard Point Bridge is a double-decked cantilever bridge carrying Interstate 95 across the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation undertook the erection of the bridge in Southwest Philadelphia and selected American Bridge Company as the prime contractor. It opened in 1985. Looking south from the former Navy Yard.
