Inside the Nyamuragira volcano! A team of volcanologists conduct an expedition inside the Nyamuragira volcano on 15 February 2014 to take samples of the crater. The team leader (in red), Pr. Dario Tedesco of UNOPS, The United Nations Office for Project Services, was with a researcher from the Volcanic Observatory of Goma, the office in charge of volcanic activities in the country. Mt. Nyamuragira has been described as Africa's most active volcano. It is situated about 25 km north of Goma. Recent eruptions occurred on 2 January 2010 and 8 November 2011.
