f the body. The skin uponthe forehead and cheeks was of a dull red hue and thickened to sucha degree that the natural furrows were greatly exaggerated. The itch-ing of the affefted parts was intense and the eyebrows had beenscratched or rubbed so persistently that only a short stubble-likegrowth of hair remained.
