DescriptionPich drop experiment.jpg	Español: Se pueden realizar algunas estimaciones muy sencillas sobre cuándo debería caer la siguiente gota basándose en los datos de las gotas anteriores. Así pues, si se omite el dato de la gota 8, la gota 9 debería haber caído en torno a Enero de 2011. Las condiciones del experimento han ido cambiando paulatinamente con en tiempo en los últimos 20-30 años. Considerando que la gota tuviera el mismo periodo que la anterior, la fecha de caída debió haber sido en torno a Marzo de 2013. Ahora bien, si se consideran las regresiones lineales y polinómicas sobre los últimos datos, tenemos que la gota caerá entre Abril de 2016 y Octubre de 2018. Esto son meras estimaciones, y no deben tomarse como más que eso.
