Română: Ruina monumentului antic Podul lui Traian, construit de arhitectul Apolodor din Damasc. Aflat pe malul românesc al Dunării, în orașul Drobeta-Turnu Severin, lângă calea ferată (nevizibilă din această perspectivă, însă aflată la câțiva metri în spatele peretelui de beton), piciorul podului este în prezent încastrat într-o cuvă de beton, menită a-l proteja de ridicarea nivelului Dunării care a avut loc în urma construirii barajului și hidrocentralei Porțile de Fier I. Poza a fost făcută pe 19 august 2009, dinspre Dunăre spre parcul Muzeului Regiunii Porţilor de Fier.
English: The ancient ruin of a pier of Trajan's Bridge on the Romanian shore of the Danube, at Drobeta-Turnu Severin. It is presently surrounded by a square concrete compound which was built to protect it from the rise of the water level following the construction of the Iron Gate I dam. In the background, a few meters away from the concrete wall and not visible, the railway track which connects Orșova to Craiova.
Deutsch: Die Ruine eines Pfeilers der antiken Trajansbrücke, auf dem rumänischen Ufer der Donau, bei Drobeta-Turnu Severin. Rund um die Ruine wurde eine quadratische Betonwand gebaut, um sie vor dem steigenden Pegel der Donau zu schützen, als das Kraftwerk Eisernes Tor 1 gebaut wurde. Im Hintergrund (nicht sichtbar) ist das Eisenbahngleis welches parallel zur Donau verlaufend Orșova mit Craiova verbindet.
