Summary edit

Description
English: Picture are, on the left RFA GOLD ROVER, and on her right HMS LANCASTER sailing together on Atlantic Patrol Task (South) duties.

RFA GOLD ROVER first joined HMS LANCASTER in the Falklands Islands back in June 2015 during the unforgiving South Atlantic winter. Since then, the two Ships have sailed to warmer climes, crossing the Atlantic to the remote island of Tristan Da Cunha, then on to conduct a month long maintenance period in South Africa. From there, they sailed in company up the West Coast of Africa with stops including Angola, the British Overseas territory of St Helena, Ghana and Togo.

Currently deployed to the South Atlantic, RFA Gold Rover stands ready to support Royal Navy warships operating in the region and will remain on task until 2017 when she comes to the end of her career.
