Summary edit

Description
Deutsch: Pierre Eugène Aubert, Jardin des plantes (Paris), cabinet d'Histoire naturelle.
English: Façade of the old cabinet d'Histoire naturelle, the main building that was intended to preserve and exhibit the natural history collections of the Jardin du Roi in the 17th and 18th centuries. That was before the Jardin du Roi becomes the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle (MNHN) in 1793, still currently active in the present day. As of 1802, other buildings started to be used by the MNHN, and even built on purpose, in order to redistribute the collections. The old cabinet d'Histoire naturelle was kept as it was until 1935, when it was demolished.
