Summary edit

Description
English: Pigg's Grave - triangulation pillar plate. The grid line runs right through the centre of this trig point > 1122962. It is situated on the southeastern edge of Pigg's Grave, a small copse located near where the Aylsham to Fakenham road (B1354), the Holt/East Dereham road (B1110) and a minor road called Gallowhill Lane meet on the north-west edge of Melton Park > 989910. It has the distinction of being the highest point in Norfolk, standing 101 metres above sea level; a triangulation point is hidden amidst the vegetation. Pigg was a highwayman who is presumed to have been hanged on Gallowhill Lane and is believed to be buried here. This pillar mounted flush bracket is also listed here: http://www.trigpointinguk.com/trigs/trig-details.php?t=5438 and here: http://www.bench-marks.org.uk/bm4036.
