Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_76094_IMG_20210209_13171001jpeg Notes: מכון איילון היה מפעל מחתרתי לייצור קליעים וסליק של ארגון ההגנה בגבעת הקיבוצים בצפון רחובות נקרא על שם פסח איילון ממייסדי תעשהמכון שהוקם ביוזמת יוסף אבידר מנהל תעש נוסד ב1945 והיה פעיל עד 1948 מפעל תתקרקעי לייצור כדורי אקדח 919 ממ פרבלום בהם השתמשו בתת המקלע סטן מתחת למבנה אזרחי ללא ידיעת העובדים במבנה העליון המפעל בו עבדו 45 צעירים פעל בסודיות עד תום מלחמת העצמאות ויוצרו בו מעל 4 מיליון כדורים האתר שומר והוכר כאתר מורשת על ידי המועצה לשימור אתרי מורשת בישראל פועל בו מוזיאון
