Description
English: Pile Lighthouse, Tayport. This Pile Lighthouse is situated in the Tay Estuary a short distance from Tayport Harbour. It is one of the few remaining examples of this type of structure in the UK. It is shown as Larick Beacon on the Admiralty chart of the Tay. Built in the mid 19th century, it ceased to be operational in about 1960.
