Description

The painting tells a story about the real incident - punishment by the Jewish community in Kremenets in Ukraine (now Ternopil Province) of a Jewish girl for her relationship with an Orthodox boy and her transition to Christianity. She wears a cross on her neck.

Українська: Одна з найвідоміших картин українського художника Миколи Пимоненка«Жертва фанатизму». Сюжет — побиття членами юдейської громади дівчини, яка покохала коваля-українця і перейшла в християнство. Зберігається в експозиції Харківського художнього музею.
