English: Caption on image: "Occidental Square & Front St." Pioneer Building at right; New York Mutual Life Building (northwest corner of Yesler Way and 1st Ave.), Starr Boyd Building (1st Ave. and Cherry St.) at left. Structure in Pioneer Square is a temporary exhibition building for displaying manufacturers goods as part of a celebration in commemoration of the completion of the Great Northern Railroad. It was locally referred to as "The Mineral Palace".
