Italiano: Otto colonne di vasta mole le quali si dimostrano nella Tav. XIV di questo Tomo, alla fig. I. Sette di esse sono di cipollino, e della stessa grossezza di quelle del Pronao del Pantheon. Queste s’internano per metà parte ne’muri del cortiletto del palazzo spettante alla Confraternita del Rosario incontro il Teatro Capranica, e parte nelle case circonvicine, e specialmente nella bottega del Saponajo. Esse appartenevano al Tempio di Giuturna (Tempio di Matidia ?). L’ottava poi è di granito, ed internata in un maro dei prossimo vicolo Spada, che dalla detta piazza porta al vicolo de’ Pastini. Questa colonna apparteneva all’antica fontana dell’Acqua Vergine, e perciò vi si vede l’incavo per un tubo perpendicolare ch’ejaculava l’acqua.
