  • A. Ядро пирамиды, образованное кусками кремня, извести и пуццолана…
  • B. Большие детали из мрамора, которые покрывают ядро.
  • C. Цоколь из травертина, уложенного в два ряда, скрытый ныне под землей
  • D. Современный проход, ведущий в комнату.
  • E. Комната с прямоугольным потолком, украшенная нарисованными вазами.
  • F. Ниша, в которой должна была размещаться ваза с пеплом.
  • G. Отверстие в потолке, проделанное, по мнению некоторых авторов, лицами, искавшими на этом месте богатые тайники. Но более вероятно, что оно было частью прохода, по которому был возложен пепел в комнату, коль скоро до сих пор не было найдено никакого другого древнего прохода в комнату. Проход, который можно видеть в фасаде, обращенном к северу, прокопан в средние века (semiantico) и был закупорен после создания современного прохода, последний же был сделан во время реставрации, когда ничего не знали о комнате, в которую он привел.
  • H. Одна из двух колонн, составленных из частей на западе; ее капитель не была выровнена …, можно считать, что эти колонны ничего не поддерживали, а служили для украшения пирамиды.
  • I. Вышеназванная комната в увеличенном виде с нарисованными вазами и фигурами, намекающими, насколько можно предполагать, своими позами на священное достоинство Цестия, одного из семи членов коллегии Эпулонов, и служащие при приготовлении пира для Бога и в частности Юпитера… Фигуры и вазы были перенесены в таблицы сообразно их размерам.
