To the honor and glory of this divine crucified lord, this chapel was erected by vow of the most excellent lord Don Pedro Manuel Colón de Portugal de la Cueva y Enríquez, 9th Admiral of the Indies, 8th Duke of Veragua, 7th Duke of La Vega, 8th Count of Gelves, Knight of the distinguished Order of the Golden Fleece and Captain General of the Galleys of Spain and of the Most Excellent Duchess Lady Doña Teresa de Ayala Fajardo y Toledo [...]
