Description
English: Plaque on the left margin of the entrance to the Chapel of Cristo del Socorro, in the Cathedral of Santa María la Vieja in Cartagena (Spain). It reads the continuation of the plaque on the right margin:

[...] for the health of Lord Don Manuel Colón de Portugal y Ayala y Fajardo, his son, on the occasion of a serious illness that he suffered twenty months after his birth, which was on May 9, 1677 and, improved then with the favor of this most holy Χρτo, died later on February 9, 1691. His body is deposited on this altar where he awaits the universal resurrection to enjoy eternal glory in heaven.

Español: Placa en el margen izquierdo de la entrada a la capilla del Cristo del Socorro, en la Catedral de Santa María la Vieja de Cartagena (España). En ella se lee la continuación de la placa del margen derecho:

[...] por la salud del Sr. D. Manuel Colón de Portugal y Aiala y Faxardo, su hijo, con motivo de una grave enfrmedad [sic] que padeció a los XX messes de su nacimiento, que fue a IX de maio de MDCLXXVII y, mejorado entonses con el favor de este santissímo Χρτo, falleció después a IX de fevrero de MDCXCI. Está depositado su cuerpo en este altar donde espera la universal resurrección para gozar la gloria eterna en el cielo.
