English: Leveling plaque preserved in the coulée verte de Colombes (France). Until the 1960's, there were here railtrack for trains of goods. At their times, the steam locomotives were very sensitive to slopes. These plaques gave informations to the driver, for tuning the speed of his locomotive.
Français : Plaque de déclivité conservée dans la coulée verte de Colombes. Cette coulée verte était autrefois une voie de chemin de fer de liaison pour train de marchandises. A leur époque, les locomotives à vapeur étaient très sensibles aux rampes (les voies en pente).
