« Le premier bureau central à Québec de la compagnie de téléphone Bell du Canada fut établi aux étages supérieurs de cette maison en 1880, quatre ans après l'invention du téléphone. Sigismund Mohr en fut le premier gérant. La première liste d'abonnés comprenait 79 noms. »
English: « Quebec city's first central office of the Bell telephone company of Canada was established on the upper floors of this building in 1880, four years after the telephone was invented. Sigismung Mohr was the first manager. The original list of subscribers contained 79 names. »
