| Description |
English: Platform 8 at Plymouth railway station, Devon, England. This platform was built in the 1950s and completed in the early 1960s. The large "Plymouth" sign above the gentlemen's toilet windows originally read "Plymouth North Road", which was the name of the station at the time, and a "Refreshment Room" sign in similar letters was situated a little further along the wall. The smaller signs are more modern and are branded for First Great western, the station operator at the time of the photograph. |
