Deutsch: Entstehung einer Sperrschicht (Raumladungszone, RLZ) beim p-n-Übergang. Die Kreise symbolisieren bewegliche Majoritätsladungsträger (Elektronen (−) und Löcher (+)), die eckigen Figuren stellen ionisierte Atome dar. Letztere bilden zusammen mit einem nebenstehenden Majoritätsladungsträger (in den p-dotieren bzw. n-dotierten Gebieten außerhalb der RLZ) ein elektrisch neutrales Atom.
