English: Poll a' Choire This is a very prominent peninsula in Stornoway Harbour yet not named on the map. The current admiralty chart shows it as Poll a' Choire and there is a stream of similar name nearby. A nineteenth century chart refers to it as Peninsula Point. Locals call it Poll a' Choire. Part of the large industrial building at Arnish Point is visible behind it. |
