Description

Pollit & Wigzel 230hp Corliss valve steam engine. Built in 1923 the engine worked until 1974 at the Roberts & Maginnis Ltd, brickworks at Trevor, Ruabon in North Wales. It now powers a rolling mill at Blists Hill.

Pollit & Wigzel were well known makers of high quality stationary steam engines and were based in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire.
