He has light brown hair, a mustaches, beard, and blue eyes. He looks at the viewer with a serious expression. Portrait of Theodore Roosevelt Sr. painted by Daniel Huntington in 1884. This painting is one of several copies produced for TR Sr.'s children. A prominent philanthropist in 19th century New York City, TR Sr. helped found the American Museum of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Children's Aid Society, among other organizations. This portrait hangs above a bookcase in the Library at the Theodore Roosevelt Home.
