Title
Post Medieval to Modern Seal Matrix (Fob Seal)
Description
English: Incomplete glass and gilded copper alloy post Medieval to Modern seal matrix or fob seal. Only the glass intaglio part of the fob and the copper alloy frame surrounding the edges of the glass survive. The matrix is oval and of light orange (amber) colour and is engraved with what appears to be an archery related design of a central bushel of arrows with a single arrow, bow and possible second smaller bushel of arrows crossed behind.

Seal matrices of this type are typically dated to the Georgian era into the early Victorian period, c.1700-1830.
