English:
Makó 1 post office. Nicknamed as Postal Palace. Built in 1928, Neo-Baroque style. Planned by the Makó Municipal engineer Béla Rerrich, built by local contractor József Papp. Local grade listed. History: the Makó post office (stage coach station) building with stables,-in the 19th century,- located at the plot (now) #14 Teleki László Street, #12., 14., 16. József Attila Street; later in/around? 1895 the post office moved in the Iritz József Tenement House (built in 1895?) as Makó Post, Telegraph and Telephone Office at 4 Úri Street. Note: in January 1900, the telephone switchboard for one hundred subscribers/lines started operating in Makó (at that time there were only 34 subscribers!) - 7 Posta Street, Makó, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary.

(info: posta.hu) ismert? nevén: Postapalota A posta 1895-ben a mai Úri utca 4. alá Iritz József emeletes bérházába költözött. 1900 januárjában kezdett müködni a száz elő-fizetőre méretezett telefonkapcsolószekrény (csak 34 előfizető volt!) - Makón új posta építésére az 1920-as években mutatkozott igény, mert az Úri utcában álló posta-, távirda-, és távbeszélő-hivatal kétszintes épülete már nem volt képes a megnövekedett forgalmat kezelni. Az épület tervezője fővárosi mérnök, Rerrich Béla volt és Papp József makói vállalkozó kivitelezásáben épült. A neoberokk hivatal 3 hónap alatt, 1928 novemberére készült el. - A '67. Posta Posta utca 7 hrsz.: 5533/1' Makó város településképének védelméről szóló 12/2018 (VII.31.) önkormányzati rendelet alapján helyi védelem alatt álló épület. Muemlekem.hu-n 'Posta' néven helyi védelem azonosító: -12041. - Makó város településképének védelméről szóló 12/2018 (VII.31.) önkormányzati rendelet alapján városrészi jelentőségű védett zöldfelület a '10. Hagymaház előtti tér és a Posta utca' Info: hirmagazin.sulinet.hu - Csongrád-Csanád megye, Makó, Posta utca 7., hrsz.: 5533/1.
