Description
English: The front of the postcard shows maps of New Zealand on the left and Britain on the right, superimposed on a photograph of a steamship. At the top left is a photographic portrait of the Maori guide, Maggie Papakura, saying "Kia ora", and at top centre is an inset photograph of a man's and woman's hands clasped in greeting. The border is of handcoloured daisies, roses and chrysanthemums.

The verso contains a handwritten Christmas and New Year message to J and R Robinson of Bradford, Yorkshire, from Lilian Briggs and Ida Lilian Robinson.
The card may date to around 1911, the year when Maggie Papakura first performed in England.
