Summary edit
DescriptionPotters Bar Bus Garage - geograph.org.uk - 1744081.jpg |
English: Potters Bar Bus Garage Located on the High Street, Potters Bar Garage was an anomaly in London Transport days, being firmly in the London Country area yet providing red bus services - I believe that it is the only 'London Transport' garage outside of the M25 motorway. One of its routes, the 84, still travels out as far as St. Albans - though Oyster Cards are only valid to Cranbourne Road, Potters Bar. It has faced closure in the past but is currently an important part of the Metroline empire. It provides vehicles for the 82, 84, 217, 234, 263, 383, 384, W8, W9 and 626 routes. A short history of the garage can be found on Wikipedia. |
