| Description |
English: Power distribution station, Asfordby Industrial estate. This pylon is on the very edge of the square so I took the photograph from the field to the north. The chimneys are on manufacturing plants on the industrial estate that has been built on the disused coal mine site. Asfordby Mine was one of the last to be sunk by the NCB. Begun in 1986 it fell foul of the NCB closure. Although RJB took it over it never saw the production of coal and it was closed in 1997. |
