Summary edit

Description
English: Powering Fred's workshop The late Fred Dibnah had a steam powered workshop in his back garden. This little 'Westminster Engine' by Ed Bennis of Bolton drove all his machinery. It is believed to date from about 1906 and originally drove the mechanical stokers on the boiler plant at Manor Mill, Chadderton. A Fred Dibnah Heritage Centre is now planned and has planning permission in place. it is hoped that it will open in April 2010 and will include this engine.
