Description

Premier étage du musée

Le Musée Mendjisky-Ecoles de Paris est installé dans un ancien atelier d’artiste, la maison du maître verrier Louis Barillet (1880-1948), situé au 15 Square de Vergennes, à Paris (15è).

Edifié en 1932 par le célèbre architecte Robert Mallet-Stevens, le bâtiment offre quatre niveaux d’exposition qui ont été aménagés à l'issue de la restauration de l'édifice. Les étages supérieurs, éclairés par de vastes verrières, offrent des cimaises très bien adaptées à des expositions d'oeuvres d'art.

Le musée organise des expositions temporaires. En ce moment et jusqu'au 15 octobre 2015, c'est l'oeuvre du peintre Alfred Manessier, qui est à l'honneur.

Ce musée privé mérite d'être mieux connu et davantage visité car il dispose d'espaces exceptionnels en plein Paris associant architecture art déco et oeuvres d'art.
