English: Two preserved Routemaster buses, pictured at the 2010 North Weald bus rally. On the left is RML2620 (reg. NML 620E), while on the right is RML2731 (reg. SMK 731F). They're both presented here in the guise of their last London usage - operating route 390 for Metroline, based out of King's Cross (KX) outstation (RML2620 is set up as displaying the running number 17, with destination set to Archway station, while RML2731 is running number 8 and Marble Arch). Both were withdrawn in 2004, and immediately sold into preservation. They're nearly identical, with minor differences being the colour of the stripe through the Metroline logo, the painted/unpainted radiator, and the presence/absence of warning stickers on the wing mirrors. |
