| Description |
English: Prince's Stand. The Prince's Stand dates from 1879, although parts of the structure may remain from the preceding building. A public footpath crosses the racecourse (through the gap to the right of the sliding gate, on extreme right) just beyond the finishing post (it's closed during racing), and offers an excellent view down the most famous finishing straight in flat racing, home to the Epsom Derby. Compare with the same view taken on Derby Day 2008: 837810. |
