Description
English: The 344th Tactical Psychological Operations Company, detachments 10, 7, and 6 display their Yellow Banners at Army Support Activity-Dix's Griffith Field House, May 3. Accepting the banner for Det. 10 are San Antonio residents Maj. Hector Cuellar and 1st Sgt. Victor Moreno. Det. 7 is represented by Chief Warrant Officer 2 Paul Williams, from Belton, Texas, and Staff Sgt. John Ellison, from Temple, Texas. Capt. Matt Perritte, from Cedar Park, Texas, and Sgt. 1st Class Mark Williams, from Colorado Springs, Colo., received the banner for Det. 6. The 344th TPC, Detachments 10, 7, and 6 are Army Reserve organizations from Austin, Texas that mobilized at ASA-Dix and will deploy to Afghanistan to conduct psychological operations missions. The Yellow Banner is given to units who mobilize through ASA-Dix as a symbolic gesture that they are in the thoughts and well-wishes of the ASA-Dix community. The banner is hung in Infantry Park while the unit is deployed and given back to the organization upon its return from combat.
