Description

El Puente Vizcaya (Bizkaiko Zubia, en euskera), Puente Colgante a secas o Puente Colgante al que a veces se le añada la extensión de Getxo o de Portugalete o incluso de Bilbao, o Puente Palacio (en honor a su arquitecto), es un puente transbordador de peaje tanto para personas como para vehículos, diseñado entre 1887 y 1893 y que une las dos márgenes de la ría del Nervión

en Bizkaia. Fue inaugurado el 28 de Julio 1893, siendo el primero de su tipología en el mundo, el primer puente transbordador construido de estructura metálica.
