Middleton & Dawson
« Entre mai 1856 et août 1874, les imprimeurs Robert Middleton et John Thomas Dawson formeront une société d’imprimeurs connue sous la raison sociale de Middleton & Dawson. Le temps de leur association d’affaires, ce sont eux qui éditeront et imprimeront «The Quebec Gazette». Les bureaux du journal et l’imprimerie étaient situés au bas de la côte de la Montagne. C’est le décès de Middleton qui mettra fin à la société. Par la suite, Dawson fera cavalier seul encore une vingtaine d’années. Cette photographie de leur imprimerie prise vers 1866 est tout à fait exceptionnelle. » - Société historique de Québec
