Summary edit
DescriptionQueen's University Elmwood Learning and Teaching Centre, Belfast - geograph.org.uk - 913554.jpg |
English: Queen's University Elmwood Learning and Teaching Centre, Belfast. This was once part of the Geology building, which was designed by John McGeagh in 1949 and opened in 1954 (part of a grand 'Beaux Arts' plan for this area that never really materialised). The glass entrance is a very modern addition.
Sadly Geology was one of those subjects that failed swell the coffers of the university sufficiently and the department was closed down a few years ago. See also 913557. |
