Deutsch: Vorderseite: ITALIA. Kopf der Italia mit Flügelhelm, Ohrgehänge und Perlschnur nach r., dahinter ein Kranz und das Denarzeichen XVI.

Rückseite: C PAAPI C [in oskischer Schrift]. Dioskuren in entgegengesetzter Richtung galoppierend, über ihnen je ein Stern.

Kommentar: Geprägt durch die aufständischen ehemaligen Bundesgenossen Roms, die sich zur sogenannten Marsischen Konföderation mit der Hauptstadt Corfinium (umbenannt in Italia) zusammengeschlossen hatten. C. Papius Mutilus und Quintus Pompaedius Silo waren zu Consuln der neuen Konföderation ernannt worden. C. Papius Mutilus wurde zunächst von L. Iulius Caesar und schließlich von Sulla besiegt. Sehr seltene Kombination von lateinischer und oskischer Schrift auf einer Münze, wahrscheinlich zu einem frühen Zeitpunkt des Konflikts geprägt.
