Kommentar: M. Iunius Brutus, geboren 85 v. Chr., wurde ca. 59 v. Chr. von Q. Servilius Caepio adoptiert und hieß fortan Q. Servilius Caepio Brutus. Dieser Denar zeigt nicht wie üblich den Kopf einer Gottheit, sondern die Porträts seiner beiden Ahnherren L. Iunius Brutus, der 509 v. Chr. den letzten König stürzte, und C. Servilius Ahala, der 439 v. Chr. den nach der Tyrannis strebenden Sp. Maelius tötete. Beides sollte den drohenden Verlust der Freiheit durch eine Alleinherrschaft des Pompeius symbolisieren.
